Amna joined GGA Partners as the Controller and Practice Manager in August 2021, heading accounting & financial reporting, HR & resource planning, as well as IT and business systems oversight.

After achieving a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation, Amna began her professional career at EY in 2010 where she served as Assurance Manager within 4 years of joining the company. At EY, Amna worked in the Private Mid-Market Practice of the Toronto office and specialized in providing assurance as well as corporate tax services to mid-large sized Canadian Controlled Private Corporations. Her experience spanned a number of industries including automotive, real estate, manufacturing and construction, and her work was recognized with two Silver Recognition Awards for  outstanding contributions.

In 2015, Amna served as a Partner at a firm she co-founded with two other partners. The firm offered a range of highly specialized outsourcing services within accounting, taxation and assurance engagements, serving private clients in the Greater Toronto Area. In addition to providing oversight of day-to-day operations, Amna also assisted in business development and training and development.

Amna joined GGA Partners shortly after serving as a Consultant for the Internal Audit Division of the Government of Ontario (OIAD).  Amna provided her expertise in the areas of risk management, business consulting and assurance services to the Transfer Payment & Agencies sector audit committee. Amna supported this committee on numerous projects including governance audit of a large and complex Crown corporation operating in an extremely unique and niche market.

In her spare time, Amna loves hiking and spending time in nature with her two children.
