Shelley MacDougall is dedicated to creating leaders in life. Whether she is coaching one on one, facilitating learning for groups, or delivering presentations, Shelley’s dynamic style and compassion for people are undeniable.
Shelley’s professional career has spanned over 30 years in operations, training, and leading others. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to work in senior leadership positions in reputable organizations including Marriott International, and The Glencoe Club (Calgary, Alberta), one of North America’s leading private sports and social clubs. Several years inside the private club and hospitality industries equipped her for a successful career as an executive and leadership coach, trainer, and facilitator. Her background in human resources and club administration/operations allows her to bring a heightened understanding to leadership challenges.
Since 2006, Shelley has been coaching and developing CMAA, CSCM and club industry professionals, supporting them to reach new heights in their careers and in life. She is one of CMAA’s Career Services Coaches, working with individual club professionals, club teams, and chapters. She co-founded and facilitates The Extraordinary Leader Program – a group coaching program designed specifically for the private club industry.
She also partners with leaders in other industries and disciplines, resulting in long term client relationships beyond the private club industry.
Her professional experience includes thousands of hours of executive and leadership coaching, as well as workshops and trainings for all levels of managers and employees. Over the years she has designed and delivered numerous training and coaching programs as well as presentations.
Shelley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a coaching certification from Coach U. She is a member of the International Coach Federation, and continues her professional and personal development through various industry platforms and resources.
